I’m a massive fan of chili. The kind of person who drizzles hot sauce on everything – from quinoa to sweet potato fries. Because everything tastes better with a bit of a kick, right?!
This Mexican pizza has a different kind of spice, and you can make it as hot or mild as you please. But it hits all the right spots. Fresh, hearty, tangy and delicious.
Gobble it up all on your own, or make multiple for when you’re having friends over…

Making Vegan Chili Pizza
For this recipe, you can use either pre-bought pizza dough, or make your own.
If I’m in a rush for a tasty treat I normally opt for pre-bought (and I keep a stash of vegan pizza bases in my freezer for this purpose!), but on weekends, or when I have the time, making the dough from scratch can be really satisfying. And it’s surprisingly easy!
This is a super simple vegan pizza dough recipe if you want to give it a go yourself. A lot of online recipes call for white sugar in pizza dough, but I prefer not to add sugar when it’s not necessary, and white sugar isn’t always vegan friendly – unless it’s organic.
Pizza Dough Ingredients
This pizza dough recipe makes enough dough for around 2 pizzas.
Combine the flour, instant yeast, and salt together in a bowl. Then add in the olive oil and warm water.
You can mix and knead it by hand, or using the dough hook on your kitchen mixer. You may need to add a little more flour if the dough looks too sticky, or more water if it’s too dry.
Once it has formed a nice ball, drizzle a little olive oil to coat the top and then cover your bowl with a kitchen towel.
It’ll need to sit for around an hour, or more, until it has doubled in size.
