Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • cups oat milk

Instructions

  • Start by washing all your produce and removing the stems from the strawberries and blueberries (if any).
  • Peel your banana and break into 2 or 4 pieces, add to your blender.
    1 banana
  • Add blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries to the blender.
1 cup fresh strawberries, 1 cup fresh blackberries, 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Then pour your oat milk over your ingredients in the blender. Blend until smooth.
    1½ cups oat milk
  • Garnish with a strawberry (optional). Serve and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Frozen vs. Fresh: Frozen berries are often more affordable and can reduce food waste. They also create a thicker, colder smoothie. If using frozen fruit, your blender might need a little extra power. Add a splash of water or extra plant-based milk to help things move along smoothly.
  • Customize Your Berries: Don’t have all three berries on hand? No worries! This recipe is incredibly versatile. Swap out the blackberries or blueberries for raspberries, cherries, or even mango for a tropical twist.
  • Boost the Creaminess: For an extra creamy texture, add a dollop of your favorite vegan yogurt (almond, coconut, or cashew work well) or even half an avocado.
  • Protein Power: Looking for a post-workout pick-me-up or a more filling snack? Blend in a scoop of your favorite vegan protein powder.
  • Sneaky Greens: Want to add a hidden veggie boost? A handful of baby spinach or kale will blend in seamlessly without affecting the taste. This is a great way to sneak in extra nutrients, especially for picky eaters.
  • Leftover Rescue: Got some forgotten berries lurking in the fridge? Throw them in your smoothie and give them a new lease on life! Smoothies are a perfect way to use up odds and ends produce before they go bad.
